Located in the heart of Damansara Utama, BaD Scones is more than just a cafe; it's a warm and inviting escape where community meets a love for delightful pastries and generous spirits. This neighborhood gem, characterized by its charming English decor, offers an ideal setting for a relaxing high tea or a jovial gathering with friends and family.

The menu at BaD Scones transcends the ordinary, highlighting an array of heavenly pastries, cakes, and, of course, their signature scones. These scones are warm and flaky, best enjoyed slathered with rich clotted cream and a dollop of jam, making for a delicious experience that will leave your taste buds dancing. Many guests rave about the delightful presentation and quality of treats—like the shepherd's pie, which is equally popular and praised for its intoxicating aroma and rich flavors.

What truly sets BaD Scones apart is its commitment to giving back to the community. As the name playfully suggests—Buy and Donate—this cafe channels a portion of its profits into charitable causes, allowing customers to enjoy their experience knowing they’re contributing to a good cause. Mondays even feature a cheeky 20% off your bill, making it the perfect day to treat yourself and your loved ones while supporting a local business with a heart.

However, the experience isn’t just about the food. The ambiance is conducive to both relaxed conversations and productive work sessions, as many customers have noted. Reviews highlight the comfortable seating and gentle atmosphere, although suggestions about the music choice hint at room for a more tailored vibe. A few customers have pointed out that the staff could enhance their already warm environment with a touch more politeness, but overall, the charm of BaD Scones lies in the tantalizing treats that entice patrons to return.

In summary, if you’re in the Petaling Jaya area and looking for a place to unwind with friends or share a special afternoon with family, BaD Scones is your destination. Indulge in their delightful offerings, savor the community spirit, and leave with a full heart (and stomach!)—because at BaD Scones, every bite is made with love.

My Gen Z son introduced this cafe to us, Baby boomers’ parent. A peaceful cafe with beautifully English decorated outlook for 3 of us to enjoy high tea with good selection of delightful continental pasteries, cakes and scones served with selection of coffee, teas and other non alcoholic beverages to choose.. A comfortable cafe to bond with your loved ones and friends where the atmosphere was quite, serene and enjoy a touch of English cafes set up I was facinated with the cafe’s collection of legend cutlery which they used to serve customers and the best part of this cafe, no plastic utensils were served. Staff were friendly. Cafe was very neat, tidy, spacious and clean includind the washroom Parking was easy on a weekend.

Interesting Cafe. I was wondering why they called their scones, bad. Then I saw Buy and Donate, BaD. Cafe with a heart that contributes to charity. Mondays 20% off the bill. The illy coffee was good, and the shepherds pie (lamb) that came was really delicious and the lovely aroma hits your olfactory canals, the moment you cut it open. The country pie was good and the Scones and the clotted cream were fantastic. Lots of food suitable for light lunches and afternoon tea. Will definitely come again. Free street parking available.

Came here for the scones and glad to say it did not disappoint. They serve hot scones with clotted cream and jam, but would be good if they can give more clotted cream. However the pandan layer cake was a bit on the soft side. But the cashier was not too polite, he asked if I’m paying QR or card, I said I’m paying card then he asked if it’s debit or credit card. And I reverted “credit card”. His reply was “only debit and QR code”. Then why bother to ask? And there’s no sorry or indication to state that they are only accepting debit cards and QR code. But the staff who served the scones were really polite and well mannered. More training is required for the one handling the cashier side.

I absolutely love this neighborhood gem– it's such a pleasant and welcoming spot to relax or get some work done. The pastries are a definite highlight, consistently delicious and perfectly sized, making them an ideal treat without being overwhelming. What's more, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. The only minor downside is the music choice. While the overall vibe is fantastic, the modern music they play feels a bit out of place. Some jazz cafe lounge music would really elevate the atmosphere and make it perfect. Despite the music, I highly recommend this cafe!

Met up with a friend for teatime on a PH at this cafe. We had some scones ( flavour of each ), cookie and a slice of victoria sandwich cake. The scones are good, in fact better than the one in Selfridges in London at one third of the price, a win for sure. The cake was alright and my latte was good. The ambience of the place was like being at your mum's friend's home back in the 80's. Nothing pretentious, easy going and parking was also easy. Definitely a nice, uncomplicated place for folks in PJ to have a meal or some snacks with friends or family. I can see myself coming in again alone with a good book while enjoying some scones and tea.

We'd been here a few times now, and you can tell we quite like this place since we'd done repeated visits. BaD stands for Buy and Donate, so whatever we paid, part of it will go to charity. They do lovely scones (lavender is my favourite), and they serve their scones with butter, jam, and marmalade. Tea all comes in nice English tea set, nicely presented. We'd come here for their lunch too, mushroom soup and tomato soup were great, the fish and chips is of great value. Only thing is, the menu isn't extensive, so come here for tea instead of lunch. I'd also bought some of their biscuits back, they are all very reasonably priced and very buttery. Good value. When I feel like having scones, this is definitely the place that will come to my mind.
